Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York authored a heartfelt obituary for Lisa Marie Presley on Thursday, outlining their unexpected connection.
“I say hello to you every day and I love you my sister, and I will continue to say hello to you every day,” Fergie, 63, captioned a Friday Instagram snapshot of the two sharing a warm embrace with the words, “I will continue to say hello to you every day.”
“You were my sister, an incredible mother to Ben, Riley, Harper, and Finley, and Priscilla’s most adoring daughter. You have been my loyal friend for many years, and I am here to support and adore your family. I am inconsolable, dear sister; you are in my heart.”
A friend of Prince Andrew’s ex-wife informed Page Six that the two women first met in 2010 when Lisa Marie and her ex-husband Michael Lockwood were living in Sussex, England.
In 2010, the two women became friends, and Fergie stayed with Lisa Marie in Hawaii during some of her most difficult times.
They were in the same circle as Bob Geldof, his wife Jeanne Marine, Jeff Beck, and his wife Sandra, according to the friend.

The acquaintance told us, “The Duchess never forgot that Lisa Marie went out of her way to be a supportive friend.” They formed a strong bond as sisters.
