Riley Keough breaks her silence on the passing of her mother, Lisa Marie Presley

Riley Keough has broken her silence over the unexpected loss of her mother, Lisa Marie Presley.

A week after Lisa Marie’s death, the 33-year-old actress posted a throwback photo of herself as a youngster holding flowers and gazing up at her late mother on Instagram on Friday.

She added a heart emoji to the post’s caption.

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley, died of cardiac arrest on January 12. She was 54 years old.

Priscilla, 77, stated in a statement, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter, Lisa Marie, has left us.” She was the most ardent, courageous, and loving woman I had ever met.

The “Dallas” actress was pictured racing to Lisa Marie’s bedside at West Hills Hospital in Los Angeles, where the “Lights Out” singer was in critical condition, earlier in the day.

Before her daughter’s death, Priscilla told The Post, “She is now receiving the best care.” Please say a prayer for her and our family.

Keough’s mother routinely posted Instagram images of the “Daisy Jones & The Six” actress.

Lisa Marie said on her birthday in February 2021, “Like every day, I couldn’t have made it through without these three,” referring to Keough and her twin kids Finley and Harper.

In 2022, Lisa Marie attended a ceremony for three generations with her daughters and her mother, Priscilla Presley.

Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide at the age of 27 in July 2020, was co-parented by Lisa Marie and her first husband, Danny Keough. The previous pair was wed from 1988 to 1994.

Finley and Harper, both aged 14, were co-parented by her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood, to whom she was married from 2006 until 2021.

Lisa Marie was also married to Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996 and Nicolas Cage from 2002 to 2004, but had no children with any of them.

After the death of his ex-wife, Lockwood, 61, issued a statement through his attorney stating that his “world had been turned upside down.”

Meanwhile, Cage, 59, expressed that he was “heartbroken” but found “some solace in the knowledge that [Lisa Marie] is reunited with her son, Benjamin.”

Lisa Marie had been candid about her sadness following Benjamin’s suicide by self-inflicted gunshot.

She admitted in an essay published in August 2022 that she “beat [herself] ceaselessly and chronically, blaming [herself] every single day” for the unfortunate murder of her son.

Riley also discussed “suffering” during her brother’s funeral.

In June 2021, she told InStyle, “I’m just generally trying to be grateful for everything, to operate in love, to keep my heart open, and to give and receive love.”

“And not in a woo-woo way, because I definitely experience difficult days, pain, sorrow, and the like. But I believe when you know it’s a part of it, and your intention isn’t to be feeling joy all the time, that has been a significant adjustment for me in finding those moments and things to grin about.”
