After her untimely death on January 12, Navarone Garibaldi penned a heartfelt homage to his “big sister” Lisa Marie Presley.
“Big sister… Friday, Garibaldi posted a message on Instagram wishing Elvis Presley and Benjamin Keough peace and happiness.
“I am aware that the previous several years have been difficult for you, and I wish that our relationship had been different. Regardless, I send you my love and prayers for your journey home as my sister. Still unable to believe this, I am speechless. Love you sis. Beijos. ”
Along with his heartfelt tribute, the 19-years-younger musician tweeted a snapshot of himself as a baby and Lisa Marie as a teenager.
The day before Garibaldi’s memorial, the pair’s mother, Priscilla Presley, announced her only daughter had died from cardiac arrest. She was 54 years old.
“With a heavy heart, I must share the tragic news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has passed away,” she stated in a statement. She was the most ardent, courageous, and loving woman I had ever met.
Priscilla gave birth to Lisa Marie in 1968 with The King of Rock and Roll and then to Navarone in 1987 with her then-boyfriend, Marco Garibaldi.
After finding the singer unresponsive in her house on Thursday, emergency personnel took her to the West Hills Hospitals and Medical Center in California. They were originally able to restore her pulse after providing CPR and epinephrine.
Then, representatives confirmed to Page Six that Lisa Marie will be buried at Graceland with her son Benjamin, who died by suicide in 2020, and her father.
She is survived by her daughter Riley, 33, and 14-year-old twins Harper and Finely, who will inherit her estate.
