Nondumiso Simelane, the sister of Babes Wodumo, has revealed how the “Gqom Queen” is coping with the untimely death of her husband, Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo.

Big Nuz Mampintsha, a member of the legendary Kwaito group in South Africa, passed away on 24 December 2022 at the age of forty. This occurred just days after his record company announced that he was hospitalized after suffering a stroke.

It is no secret that losing a husband can be extremely traumatic, and that mourning their passing is never simple. Since the incident, Babes Wodumo’s admirers have been concerned about her health. Nondumiso Simelane, her sister, told TshisaLIVE that her bed is now vacant since her spouse has left her side. She stated that she must now pick herself up and assume additional tasks in order to fill Mampintsha’s shoes.

“Unfortunately, the bed is empty, and she must assume additional tasks. Babes is strong. Nondumiso Simelane, Babes’s sister, remarked, “What I like about her is that she has not changed her character.”

Babes, according to Nondumiso, misses Mampintsha and recognizes he has died away when she calls for him.

“She misses him terribly. She would call him before realizing he was gone.

Nondumiso, who raised her son, stated that Babes will have no trouble rearing Sponge.

“Raising Sponge will be simple for her. She reared my daughter. What will be challenging for her this time?” she said.

According to her, Babes would remain financially secure because she still has access to Mampinstha’s funds and is receiving royalties for her smash hit song Wololo.

“Babies will fare well. Babes was accountable for a variety of household tasks. She has been involved. The only difference is that she has access to Mampintsha’s funds, while Babes continues to receive royalties for her Wololo hit. I can’t imagine her becoming bankrupt.”

She continued by saying that Babes has to heal first since she is emotionally unstable.

“Emotionally, she’s not doing well. She must first fix herself. She needs to recover, but that woman (Mampinstha’s sister) is denying her the opportunity to do so and to grasp reality and how to proceed.

Mampintsha’s mother, Zamanguni Gumede, recently criticized the Wololo singer for partying on the streets rather than mourning her son appropriately. Zama informed Zimoja that Babes was not observing the mourning protocol.

Zamanguni stated to the publication, “One; no offense, I love Babes, we reconciled at her funeral, but this is not how things are done…”

“First of all, she is not at home; she is drinking and partying in the streets. Second, she is not dressed in typical mourning attire. The daughter of a minister disregards the norms. “She does things her way,” she stated.
