Late Big Nuz member Mampintsha left his widow Babes Wodumo and son in financial crisis

Babes Wodumo, widow of late Big Nuz member Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, is reportedly in debt following her husband’s passing two months ago.

Mampintsha died on 24 December 2022 after suffering a mini-stroke, and three weeks later, his mother, Zamanguni Gumede, also died due to a stroke.

According to an unnamed source, Mampintsha left Babes in debt, and her family is now living with her in her matrimonial house in Westville, Durban. The two musicians share one child together, son Hlelolenkosi “Sponge” Maphumulo.

The source added that Mampintsha managed all of the finances in their household, including their business dealings in his record company, West Ink Entertainment.

Babes’ older sister, who is also her manager, responded to the allegations and laughed them off, saying that Babes will share her story when she is ready. She added that they are currently shooting something for the fans.

The friend of the family stated that Babes needed support from her parents to be able to deal with Mandla’s death, but also to be able to cut costs on bills as she is the breadwinner at home.

The source also mentioned that the house is big enough to accommodate her parents, and that Mampintsha left her in a lot of debt. While they own the house, the debt has accumulated, according to the friend.
