In Chatsworth, firearms and drugs were seized.

An operation was carried out yesterday afternoon on Klaarwater Road in Shallcross. The operation, which was conducted, by the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old suspect after he was found in unlawful possession of two pistols with 20 rounds of ammunition.

Police found the two firearms hidden inside a snooker table. The police officers conducted a further search inside the house, which resulted in the recovery of 130 plastic Ziploc bags of high-grade dagga, 20 plastic containers hydroponic dagga, 20 pieces of rock cocaine and a digital scale.

The estimated value of the drugs is R38150-00.

The suspect will appear before the Chatsworth Magistrates Court today.
