A 37-year-old man has been arrested and drugs worth R12 million have been seized along the N12 in Springs, Gauteng

A 37-year-old guy was detained and R12 million in drugs were seized along the N12 near Springs, Gauteng. This comes after a multidisciplinary operation conducted by the Trilateral Planning Cell (TPC), which includes organised crime police officers from Mozambique, Tanzania, and South Africa.

The Trilateral Planning Cell was formed to combat the heroin invasion in Mozambique, South Africa, and Tanzania. Members of these trilateral states comprise the TPC, which has a common goal of disrupting organised criminal networks operating on the Indian Ocean’s western maritime shore.
