Ingredients

  • cups flour

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 5 tbsp. cocoa

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup oil

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla essence

Optional

  • crushed nuts

  • ground coffee

Method

  • Put all of the ingredients into a bowl and beat well for 4 – 5 minutes until combined and smooth.
  • Add nuts if you want to at this stage.
  • Spread mixture in a baking tray. Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.
  • Let them cool for a while in the tray and then on a wire rack.
