Duke of York tested positive for Covid-19

Following the Queen’s withdrawal due to her chronic mobility concerns, royal fans have questioned disgraced Prince Andrew’s ‘convenient’ absence from the St Paul’s thanksgiving ceremony today.

Because the Duke of York tested positive for Covid-19, he will be unable to attend today’s Queen’s service at St Paul’s Cathedral.

He is said to have seen his mother, the Queen, in recent days, but she has now tested negative, and he has not seen her since testing positive.

Despite no longer being a functioning member of the royal family, Andrew, 62, was due to attend the Service of Thanksgiving in London tomorrow.

However, following the ‘inconvenient’ news that he has been diagnosed with coronavirus, social media users have produced a new wave of memes ruthlessly insulting the duke.

‘Does anyone actually believe Prince Andrew has Covid?’ wrote Twitter user Con Murphy in a particularly scathing message. Or perhaps they don’t want to be associated with the heinous shame.’

Another user shared a meme in which the Queen appears to draw a line on a lateral flow test, implying a favorable result.

On Wednesday, the duke was seen riding a horse in Windsor and appeared to be in good health before the unexpected diagnosis was revealed.

‘After undergoing a routine test, The Duke has tested positive for Covid and will no longer be attending tomorrow’s service,’ a Buckingham Palace spokesman said on Thursday afternoon.

Andrew was not on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the flypast at the Trooping the Colour ceremony because the Queen only allowed working members of her family to accompany her.
