Anthony Fauci says he “doubts” Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 yet

After the president stated that he hoped to resume working in person by the end of the week, Anthony Fauci stated on Tuesday that he “doubts” Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 yet.

When asked about the president’s health on CNN’s New Day on Tuesday morning, Dr. Fauci responded, “He’s feeling really, really well.”

He actually got better every day, to the point where he is now genuinely feeling good.

Biden has now finished five days of his PAXLOVID treatment, according to Fauci’s account of what White House physician Kevin O’Connor told him on Monday evening.

After receiving a coronavirus diagnosis on Thursday, Biden told reporters at an event on Monday that he would be able to attend in person by the end of the week.

Biden stated, “I hope to be back in person by the end of this week.” But as you are aware, I have been maintaining a busy schedule.

‘Today I completed four significant events, despite starting my day at 9:30. But I’ll wrap it up today around 6:30,” he said.

I’m not working the same hours, but I’m still following all the rules set forth by my predecessors.

In December, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lowered the guidelines for the advised length of isolation, stating that people should only remain isolated for five days after receiving a diagnosis.

Biden might wear a mask the next time Americans see him in public in accordance with CDC recommendations.

According to the guidance published in late December 2021, “People with COVID-19 should isolate for 5 days and if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), follow that by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others to minimise the risk of infecting people they encounter.”

Tuesday, when asked if Biden had tested COVID-19-negative yet, Fauci replied, “I doubt it, to be honest with you.”

The top immunologist at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) added, “It would be unusual to test negative so quickly.”

At the conclusion of a meeting on advancing the semiconductor industry, Biden responded, “I’m feeling great,” noting that his voice was still “raspy.”

You are aware that I slept through both of the previous nights, he continued.

In fact, this morning my dog had to wake me up. My spouse isn’t here. I felt my dog’s nose brush up against my chest for five to seven minutes while I was working out upstairs, as she usually does in the morning,’ Biden said.

Following the news of Biden’s positive test last week, the first lady Jill Biden flew to the family residence in Wilmington.

I’m in a good mood. I still have a raspy voice,” he continued.

All 17 of the individuals who were thought to be close to Biden did not test positive for COVID-19, including Jill and Kamala Harris, the vice president.
