Queensland’s former chief health officer and current Governor is tested positive for Covid.

Jeannette Young, the former premier physician and governor of Queensland, tested positive for the virus after spearheading the state’s effort to combat it.

Dr. Young is being kept in isolation in the state’s Government House, despite her team’s disclosure that she only has minor symptoms.

A spokeswoman stated, “Her Excellency will execute her constitutional obligations virtually and the remainder of her program will be rescheduled.”

Dr. Young welcomed elders Thursday while giving them a tour of the official mansion.

In the morning, visitors from the Portofino Residential Aged Care Facility took a tour of the structure.

The meeting was Covid-safe, according to Dr. Young’s team, and the elderly care facility has been informed.

The Governor spent less than five minutes with the group and was socially distant from them.

Many Australians, according to Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, have the virus, and she sent the governor good vibes.

At a press conference, she added, “So many other people around the state have it as well.

There are currently over 550 individuals in hospitals.

But I know that Queenslanders would also like to pass on their well wishes as well to the Governor.”
