THREE PEDESTRIANS INJURED AFTER BEING HIT BY CAR

In the evening of February 18th, three pedestrians were killed when a light motor vehicle travelling along Station Street in Brakpan collided with them.

The three victims, as well as the driver, suffered serious to life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.

At 20:28, paramedics from EMPD, GPG, and ER24 arrived on the scene to discover three pedestrians laying in the road and the driver in police custody.

One of the pedestrians had been critically injured after smashing through the Corolla’s windscreen.

ER24 provided medical care and took him to the hospital.

GPG tended to and evacuated two other pedestrians, who had moderate and severe injuries, respectively.

GPG also treated and transferred the male driver, who was moderately injured.

The Community Police Services were there to provide assistance.
