Sundowns Ladies return to Hollywoodbets Super League action with a victory

In the most recent round of the Hollywoodbets Super League, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies returned to winning ways with a 7-0 victory against Coal City Wizards.

Boitumelo ‘Queen’ Rabale’s hat-trick in the first half, along with goals from Miche Minnies, Lehlogonolo Mashigo, Andisiwe Mgcoyi, and Melinda Kgadiete, gave Banyana Ba Style a big victory against their opponents at the Puma Stadium in Mpumalanga.

Asa Rabalao started in goal, while Regina Mogolola, Khutso Pila, Tiisetso Makhubela, and Gabonnelwe Kekana started in defense. Lehlogonolo Mashigo, Chantelle Esau, and Oratile Mokwena began in midfield, while Miche Minnes and Thembelihle Masibi flanked Boitumelo Rabale in a three-pronged attack.

Boitumelo Rabale opened the goal in the 29th minute to give the Brazilians an early advantage. Queen, who was chosen to this year’s Best XI of the CAF Women’s Champions League, doubled her tally in the 35th minute and completed her hat-trick in the 45th minute as the league champions asserted their dominance in the first half.

Andisiwe Mgcoyi and Nonhlanhla Mthandi were substituted for Chantelle Esau and Thembelehle Masibi following the halftime break.

Sundowns Ladies maintained pressure and were rewarded with goals from Miche Minnies and Lehlogonolo Mashigo in quick succession. Thalea Smidt, Lelona Daweti, and Melinda Kgadiete were introduced by Coach Jerry Tshabalala in place of Oratile Mokwena, Thembelihle Masibi, and Boitumelo Rabale.

Mgcoyi and Kgadiete scored late goals as Coach Jerry’s squad scored seven or more goals in a league match for the seventh time this season.

Khutso Pila, a young defender, was happy with the team’s flawless response to the CAF Women’s Champions League final loss.

“I am quite pleased with how we performed today following our loss in Morocco.” The entire team aimed for a flawless answer, which we accomplished in spectacular fashion. On a personal level, I am pleased with my improvement owing to the team’s veterans. Several lessons were learned during the CAF Women’s Champions League, and I will strive to improve my game in every area to contribute to the team’s success, Pila said.

With this victory, Sundowns Ladies now have 76 points after 25 wins in 28 games, 119 goals scored, and 11 conceded. Banyana Ba Style has also accomplished a colossal goal differential of +108.

Boitumelo Rabale has already scored 24 goals for the Sundowns, four more than Miche Minnies, who has scored 20 goals. Andisiwe Mgcoyi has scored 12 goals, while Melinda Kgadiete has scored 10 and Rhoda Mulaudzi has scored 8 goals.

Perfect response from our Ladies!!!
