Ryan Edwards, a former star of the reality TV show “Teen Mom,” is wanted by police for allegedly stalking and violating a protective order filed by his wife, Mackenzie Edwards. The warrants were filed on February 23rd, less than two weeks after Ryan was arrested for harassing Mackenzie. The initial arrest included charges of harassment, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and violating the order of protection that his wife filed the day prior.
Prior to his arrest, Ryan posted a photo of Mackenzie’s bare chest to social media and included a derogatory caption. According to court documents obtained by The US Sun, Tennessee police issued two more warrants for Ryan for stalking and violating the protective order filed against him by his wife.
In an interview with the police, Mackenzie detailed a series of alleged domestic violence incidents that have occurred since their marriage in 2017. She recounted an incident in early January where Ryan allegedly punched holes in the walls and doors, held her up by her neck to the wall, threw her down in the hallway, and threatened her with a pocket knife. She also alleged that Ryan smashed her phone, took her car keys, and threw menthol nicotine in her eyes during a fight in which he wouldn’t let her leave.
While Mackenzie was granted a temporary protective order, the hearing for her filed restraining order has been delayed. Ryan shares three children with Mackenzie, including Jagger, 4, and Stella, 3. He also shares a 14-year-old son, Bentley, with his ex-girlfriend Maci Bookout.
Ryan has had numerous run-ins with the law in the past, including a 2018 arrest for violating probation on a heroin-related charge and a subsequent arrest four months later for possession of heroin. He was sentenced to a three-month stint in prison for the latter offense.
