Ryan Edwards, a former cast member of “Teen Mom,” was arrested earlier this week for violating an order of protection that prohibited all communication with his wife, Mackenzie.
According to legal documents from Us Weekly, Ryan sent multiple messages to Mackenzie after being ordered to stop contacting her.
The court papers noted that Mackenzie did not respond to any messages from Ryan. Mackenzie had filed the order of protection last month after Ryan bashed her on social media for allegedly cheating on him and sharing an X-rated photo of her.
Shortly after filing the order of protection, Mackenzie went to the police and reported a series of alleged domestic violence incidents that had occurred over the past couple of months.
She claimed that Ryan had held her up by her neck, thrown nicotine in her eyes, and threatened her with a pocket knife in front of their children.
Mackenzie filed for divorce on February 28, and was granted a restraining order against Ryan.
Ryan was initially taken into custody on February 10 for harassing Mackenzie and was arrested for possessing drug paraphernalia, a controlled substance, and violating an order of protection.
Just weeks after his release, he was arrested again for stalking Mackenzie.
After less than 24 hours in jail, Ryan was released on a $50,000 bond. He is scheduled for a court hearing on March 6. Ryan is also the father of 14-year-old son Bentley with Maci Bookout.
