Prince Harry and Meghan Markle do not include their children in their holiday card

Friday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle unveiled their 2022 holiday card, but it was missing two very important people.

The couple’s three-year-old son Archie and one-year-old daughter Lilibet were conspicuously absent from the greeting.

The card read, “Wishing you a wonderful Christmas season.”

“From our family to yours, and on behalf of The Archewell Foundation, Archewell Audio, and Archwell Productions, we wish you a healthy, peaceful, and prosperous New Year!”

The card was accompanied by a black-and-white photograph of Harry, 38, and Markle, 41, taken at the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award Gala in New York City earlier this month.

The Duke of Sussex donned a dark suit in the photograph, while the Duchess of Sussex wore a white, off-the-shoulder dress with her hair tied back.

As previously stated, the couple may have omitted their children from this year’s holiday photo to protect their “fundamental right to privacy.”

“If you have a photograph of your child on your desk at work and a coworker comments, ‘Oh my goodness, your child is so adorable! That’s incredible! Can I see your phone so I can view all of the photographs of your child? You go, ‘No. This is the image I feel comfortable showing you,’” In her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Markle asserted.

“And then, if they double down and say, ‘No, but you’ve already shown me that one,’” the sentence continues, Therefore, you must show me everything. You’ve lost your right to privacy because you shared a single image with me, therefore I’m going to hire someone to sit in front of your house or hide in the bushes and snap pictures of your backyard.”

In addition to desiring privacy, the family has experienced problems with the British media allegedly using racist slurs towards their children.

In their Christmas card from the previous year, the couple shared the first public photographs of their daughter.

“Why would I send the same people who are calling my children the N-word a photograph of my child before sharing it with those who love my child?” Markle, who is of mixed race, told the Cut in August that she is biracial.

Prince William and Kate Middleton included all five members of their family in their Christmas card, which was unveiled on Tuesday.

In the photograph taken by Matt Porteous, the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children — Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4 — clasp hands as they stroll in casual attire outside their Norfolk, England, residence.

The royal youngsters wore shorts and short-sleeved shirts, whereas William, 40, and Middleton, 40, donned blue trousers with long-sleeved shirts.

The older royals captioned the new photo on their Instagram and Twitter accounts with, “Sharing a new family photo for this year’s Christmas card!”

Despite the fact that the Sussexes and Waleses are spreading holiday cheer, their families are at odds.

Vol. 2 of the Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan” was released on Thursday, in which the youngest son of Princess Diana and King Charles III discusses his rocky relationship with the rest of the royal family.

In one episode, Harry discussed how William broke their agreement to prevent their respective offices from leaking damaging information to the media.

The father of two stated, “William and I witnessed what occurred in our grandfather’s office, and we made a pact that we would never allow that to occur in our office.”

“I would much rather be destroyed by the press than participate in this game or business of trading, and it was terrible to witness my brother’s office doing the same thing we promised we would never, ever do.”

Harry stated that his older brother yelled at him when he informed the family that he and the former “Suits” actress would be relinquishing their royal duties in 2020.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the television series.

All six episodes of “Harry & Meghan” are currently available on Netflix for streaming.
