Orlando Piasecke drives into a Derbyshire lamppost

Grizzly CCTV video captures the moment a young drug dealer hit a lamppost at 60 mph while riding a stolen motorcycle, severely injuring his closest buddy.

On April 2 of last year, Orlando Piasecke, 19, was driving double the speed limit when he crashed into a vehicle and then slammed into a concrete post.

The rider is shown on horrifying video being thrown down the road by the force of the collision as his 19-year-old pillion passenger crashes into the lamppost.

Then Piasecke can be seen cruelly leaving his companion at the scene on Cotmanhay Road in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, who had suffered catastrophic injuries.

The victim may never walk again, according to testimony given in court, as well as having several limb fractures, a haemorrhage on the brain, and a fractured pelvis.

After being freed on bail after his arrest, Piasecke of Ilkeston embarked on a drug-dealing rampage during which he took pictures with bags of white powder.

Later, along with several cellphones, £500 in cash, and more than $1,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine, he was discovered.

Piasecke also admitted to driving recklessly, inflicting severe harm, operating a vehicle without insurance or a licence, and having class A drug supplies in his possession.

On August 12, he received a six-year sentence at Derby Crown Court.

After the collision, in which his passenger suffered severe injuries, Piasecke displayed no remorse, according to Sergeant Matt Edwards of Derbyshire Police.

He carried on his illegal behaviour after being granted bail by peddling class A narcotics all across Ilkeston.

“I am happy that he is now in jail and that as a consequence, Ilkeston’s streets are substantially safer.”
