An cop desperately attempted to save the life of tiny Olivia Pratt-Korbel by’scooping and sprinting’ into her home in Liverpool and covering her gunshot wound with his hand as he rushed her to the hospital, an inquest into her murder heard today.

The unfortunate nine-year-old was shot in the chest after a balaclava-wearing shooter and former heroin dealer Joseph Nee – whom he was attempting to shoot – barged into her home in the Dovecot neighborhood of the city at approximately 10 p.m. on Monday in an apparent gangland battle.

Olivia’s mother Cheryl only unlocked the front door after hearing a ruckus outside, as the innocent family had no relation to the mafia. She attempted desperately to barricade the door, but was shot in the wrist by the bullet that then struck her daughter. The gunman fired two more shots at Nee, 35, before fleeing.Flowers are left near to the scene of an incident in Kingsheath Avenue, Knotty Ash, Liverpool

Two men detained on suspicion of murdering Olivia have been released after Merseyside Police stated they need to “draw up a solid evidentiary picture” and reaffirmed their need for information about a car at the scene of the shooting on the night in question.

Andre Rebello, the senior coroner for Liverpool who dealt with the murder of 11-year-old Rhys Jones after he was shot in Croxteth, Liverpool 15 years ago, expressed his dismay at yet another deadly shooting in the city as he opened the inquest into her death at Gerard Majella Courthouse.

Olivia Pratt-Korbel, a nine-year-old girl, was discovered with a gunshot wound to the chest by armed response officers, according to Mr. Rebello. Olivia was rushed to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital by police officers in the trunk of a police car. At approximately 10:15 p.m., she was escorted into the building by a police officer.

Flowers are left for a nine-year-old girl who was fatally murdered in her own home, following the capture of the ‘intended target,’ convicted burglar Joseph Nee.

Today, it was revealed that well-wishers identifying themselves as “the Nee family” put a note near the house where Olivia Pratt-Korbel, 9, was fatally shot, days after the ‘intended target’ Joseph Nee was apprehended.

Olivia was fatally murdered after a gunman pursued a convicted burglar into her family’s Dovecot house and then opened fire, committing a heinous act that seriously injured her 46-year-old mother, Cheryl.

The card attached to the flowers stated, “My deepest condolences on the death of your beautiful daughter, Olivia.” Rest in peace; [the family] is in our thoughts. It is unknown whether the term “Nee family” refers to Joseph Nee’s family.

The officer covered the chest wound with his palm, and it was found that her heart had stopped prior to her arrival at the hospital.

According to him, medical personnel greeted Olivia as she arrived at the hospital, and a serious trauma alert was issued.

Olivia was administered cardiac massage and a quick blood transfusion at the hospital, but at 11:15 p.m. she had no cardiac output, according to the coroner.

Olivia’s death was confirmed at 11:25 p.m., following tremendous attempts by all parties concerned, according to Mr. Rebello’s statement.

Although there have been multiple arrests, no one has been charged with murder, as far as I’m aware there is an ongoing homicide investigation.

The coroner remarked, ‘I was the coroner in Liverpool when Rhys’s death was reported to me fifteen years ago. It is astounding that society has not improved throughout the years.

‘It is surprising that a nine-year-old girl with a bright future be shot anywhere, but to be shot in her own house, in the protection of her own home, is horrible and unforgiving.

“By now, there must be people in Liverpool or elsewhere who know exactly how Olivia died and who was responsible for her demise.

Olivia’s loss will touch not only her immediate family and friends, but also school and church communities, not only in the Knotty Ash and Dovecot neighborhoods of Liverpool, but the entire city, Merseyside, and I know that people all around the country are shocked by her passing.

I hear that Merseyside Police would be very appreciative of any information that could shed light on Olivia’s death, regardless of how trivial it may be.

Olivia was born in Liverpool to support worker mother Cheryl Korbel and mechanic father John Francis Pratt, according to testimony at the inquest.

Olivia, nine years old, was fatally shot, and it is believed that Joseph Nee was the intended target.

A young girl memorializes Olivia in Kingsheath Avenue, Knotty Ash, Liverpool, the location where she was fatally murdered.

Mr. Rebello stated that a post-mortem investigation revealed that a gunshot wound to the chest was the medical cause of her death.

He gave the body to the family for burial and postponed the investigation until January 4.

Last week, a 36-year-old male from Huyton and a 33-year-old man from Dovecot were detained and released on bail on suspicion of murder and two charges of attempted murder in relation to Olivia’s death.
