The search for the weapons that murdered Olivia Pratt-Korbel, 9, has focused on a golf course.
Three weeks after the schoolgirl’s murder, which occurred on August 22 in her Dovecot, Liverpool, home, Merseyside Police said a “extensive land search” was being conducted at West Derby Golf Club.
“Three weeks on, and our investigation continues in our unrelenting pursuit of the man responsible for Olivia’s murder and those who are hiding him,” said Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen.
“I swore we would look everywhere for the perpetrator and the weapons used that night, and today, as per information, we are doing a thorough land search at West Derby Golf Club to look for those weapons.
The North West Underwater Search Team and the Merseyside Police drone unit are assisting our search teams.
He claimed that the old Deysbrook Barracks’ former location will be the site of the search.
“My message to the perpetrator is clear,” Mr. Kameen said, “we will not relent until we have the proof to bring you before the courts and imprison you”.
The devastating death of Olivia has stolen a lovely young kid of the life and future she should have been looking forward to, and her family is utterly devastated.
Olivia aspired to be a teacher or a veterinarian, and according to her family, she enjoyed making others laugh.
She was a defenceless small kid who should have been protected in her own home.
The investigating team has been working nonstop since Olivia’s murder.
Although we have made nine arrests and are developing a picture of the evidence, we still want additional details and need to locate the firearms.
“I would want to make a call to action for anybody who has information that might aid us in our inquiry.
“This criminal and those defending him are a disgrace to the neighbourhood, and the effect they have on the respectable residents is poisonous.”

At about 10 o’clock in the evening, a shooter pursued convicted burglar Joseph Nee into their house, where Olivia was shot to death and her mother Cheryl Korbel was injured.
According to authorities, each of the nine males detained in connection with her killing have received bail.
