North West police appeals to the public to help track down eight-year-old girl who went missing in November 2021

The public is needed to help the North West police in finding Tshwarelo Makati, 8, of Tlakgameng Village, who has been missing since November 2021.

According to Captain Aafje Botma, spokesperson for the South African Police Service (SAPS), Tshwarelo left for school on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, and never returned home.

“A search was conducted around the village and surrounding areas of Tlakgameng without any success. Extensive investigations were done and all leads were followed up with no success,” said Botma.

Her last known outfit was her school uniform, which comprises of a white shirt, a dark blue skirt, and black school shoes. Tshwarelo was last seen wearing this outfit.

The missing child is described as having brown eyes, a slim build, and a fair complexion. Police estimated her height to be one metre.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to call either Crime Stop at 08600-10111 or the investigating officer, Captain Jannie Haasbroek of the Vryburg Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS), at 071-354-8102.
