Maine police have released the last known photos of a two-year-old girl who went missing with her parents after going camping last month as they ramp up a desperate missing person search

As they intensify their desperate missing person search, Maine police have released the last known images of a two-year-old girl who vanished with her parents last month after going camping.

Along with her parents Jill Sidebotham, 28, and Nicholas Hansen, Lydia Hansen has been missing for a number of weeks.

Before leaving for a camping trip in Phillips on June 27, they were last seen by Sidebotham’s family in person.

On June 30, the divorced couple’s daughter, who resides with Sidebotham, and they were scheduled to make a comeback.

According to The Boston Globe, Sidebotham’s phone has been off since June 28 and Hansen’s hasn’t received a signal since June 29.

Two CCTV sightings of the family have since been confirmed by police.

The first occurred on June 29 at the Coos Canyon Campground, and the second occurred on July 2 at a Walmart in Mexico, Maine, which is about 100 miles from Sidebotham’s home in Sanford.

However, there have been no more sightings, and police today released stills from the CCTV video from June 29 as they pleaded with the public to assist them in finding the missing group.

In the video, a red-topped daughter is being carried by both parents.

While Hansen is dressed in a red tank top with a white design on the back and grey shorts, the mother is donning a black T-shirt with a green design, glasses, and light-colored shorts.

According to Sanford police Lieutenant Matthew Gagne, “They were buying food items and there did not appear to be anything nefarious or criminal.”

“[However], without seeing them, we cannot verify their state.”

According to the wanted poster, the family was last seen driving a silver 2005 Volkswagen Jetta with a black rear bumper sticker and the Maine licence plate number 1563VJ.

Police are now requesting assistance from the public, claiming they do not believe there was foul play involved in the disappearance and are hoping to find them alive and well.

It’s unusual that they haven’t contacted the family or friends that we are aware of, so it’s more of a welfare check, according to Gagne.

We have no reason to think that this is a kidnapping or other form of abduction, according to the statement.

However, a number of Sidebotham’s family members have expressed their suspicion that Hansen may have abducted the mother of his child.

According to the mother’s family, just before the trio vanished, Hansen persuaded Sidebotham to go on an unexpected camping trip.

Reta Lyman, the sister of Sidebotham, advised Facebook users to “be wary” around Hansen, whom she characterised as disturbed.

She said in a Facebook post that “Sidebotham was last [seen] with my niece’s father, who is not a stable person.”

He has a history of violence and is not doing well, particularly when he believed Jill was being taken away.

In a Facebook post, Sidebotham’s father Ron stated that it was “not in Jill’s nature at all to just go.”

Additionally, Ron stated that there is “cause to believe he’s holding her against her will” in the comment section of one of his Facebook posts.

We can’t be certain, but there’s a good chance, he remarked.

Ron admitted to a Facebook user that he was barely hanging on but was “doing my best to keep it together” because his family has been under a lot of stress.

According to Ron, “It’s the not knowing of what’s going on.” Both my head and my stomach are being eaten away by it.

I’m meant to be the oldest and the one who watches out for them, but I can’t, Lyman said, echoing similar sentiments.

She brushed away her tears and continued, “I don’t know where to go.”

She is now left to question if something about Sidebotham and Hansen’s plans was “misunderstood,” she thinks.

The family’s disappearance has been reported to local wardens by Sanford Police, who have also contacted and are cooperating with local law enforcement organisations.

Ron told News Center Maine, “I was concerned the moment my wife told me what they were doing, but I didn’t anticipate this would happen.” “I’m sorry to say it, but I don’t trust the guy.

There have been problems with him in the past.”

Hansen shared a poem by Rachel Byram that includes the lines “I’m done playing your game” weeks prior to the disappearance.

Ever thought about caring? You behave as though I never existed. I’m more than simply a game.

Additionally, it said, “You should be ashamed. I could have fulfilled all of your needs. because you fulfilled every desire I ever had.

But you chose what you wanted. Your thoughts may be limited to one item. However, the only thing speaking is your deeds.

It is unknown if he enjoys poetry or if he posted the poem in reference to a particular person.

On June 16, he published a second image with the caption: “If you want me in your life, figure out a method to put me there.” I’ve given up trying.

Anyone who believes they saw the family is asked to contact the Sanford Police Department.
