MTA bus surveillance shows a man attacking and robbing a wheelchair-bound victim

CCTV footage from an MTA bus reveals a bizarre incident. A daring criminal assaults and robs a wheelchair-bound guy of $250.

13 August around 9 p.m., the NYPD published security film from an MTA bus showing a guy robbing a 64-year-old victim in a wheelchair.

The audacious robber could be seen going into the victim’s shirt pocket and flinging dollar bills before bending down to collect them.

At one moment, the suspect briefly stands up and grabs the thief’s arm, but the thief departs in an unknown way with $250.

Police in New York City are seeking for a bold burglar who robbed an elderly man in a wheelchair of $250 earlier this month.

Sunday, the New York Police Department released security footage from an MTA bus traveling through Staten Island at 9 p.m. on August 13, when an incident occurred.

It depicts a man dressed in a black TLC T-shirt, black basketball shorts, socks, and sandals standing precisely behind the 64-year-old victim before reaching into his shirt pocket and releasing a handful of dollar bills.

When the bus halted at the corner of Clinton Avenue and Richmond Terrace, the crook attempted to take as much cash as possible, leading the old guy to briefly stand up and grip the thief’s arm.

However, the robber then exited the bus and went in an unknown way with $250.

Police report that the victim was not hurt during the altercation.

The police have described the victim as a man in his twenties, 5 feet 7 inches tall, and approximately 160 pounds. They have also published CCTV footage of the robber from a Richmond Terrace convenience store that clearly reveals his face.

Now, the authorities are requesting that anybody with information contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS, submit tips online at www.crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, or tweet @NYPDTips.

This month, surveillance tape captured the moment a bold burglar stole $250 from an elderly man in a wheelchair.

The burglar was observed reaching into the shirt pocket of the 64-year-old victim on a nearly empty bus heading through Staten Island.

In an attempt to rob the man, the suspect scatters the victim’s cash, forcing him to collect as much of it as possible.

At one point, the victim leaves his wheelchair and grabs the suspect’s arm as he exits the bus at Clinton Avenue and Richmond Terrace.

Police also released CCTV footage from a nearby store that clearly depicted the face of the suspect. Last seen wearing a black TLC T-shirt, black basketball shorts, black socks, and black sandals.

The audacious assault on an old crippled man follows cruel youngsters who terrorized their elderly Bronx neighbors by assaulting, robbing, and injuring them.

Residents of 1294 and 1295 East 169th Street in the Morrisania area say they are frightened to leave their building at night out of concern that the youngsters may again attack them.

In one of the attacks, the adolescents reportedly broke off a stick from a nearby pole and used it to beat neighbors, including Miriam Cintron, 67, who stated that she “had not slept” since the incident.

“They came at us, and they beat us,” Cintron told ABC 7 New York in an exclusive interview. They severed the branch from the tree in order to beat us with the wood.

Another neighbor, 63-year-old Nydia Carrero, reported that the youths ‘kicked’ and ‘punched’ her, adding that they have been returning nightly.

She told ABC 7: “They were kicking me in the side, kicking me on this side, punching me in the back, and trying to get my face.”

Carrero informed the media source that the youths intend to “hang out in the hallways, consume marijuana, and wreck the building.”

Victor Gonzalez, another resident, reported that the youths had threatened to ‘tear the building down.’

“It’s a shame…absurd,” it’s he told ABC 7 News.

The residence on 169th Street, which has been home to many inhabitants for decades, is currently being burglarized by obnoxious adolescents.

Progressive Management, the building’s manager, stated that ‘any threats’ to the building’s occupants were ‘inappropriate.’

“Ensuring the safety of our renters in their homes will remain our first concern,” the company stated in a statement.

It has reportedly “enhanced security on-site, is aggressively collaborating with the NYPD to avoid any illegal trespass that endangers residents or guests, and has requested additional police patrols in the local area.”

As unruly criminals continue to roam the streets, New York City’s crime rate has worsened dramatically over the past year.

Compared to the same period last year, robberies in New York City are up 39.5%, while overall crime is up nearly 36%.

The only violent crime that has decreased in the city as a whole is murder, with 265 fewer deaths than last year.

Assaults and rapes have also increased by eight and nineteen percent, respectively.
