Evangeline Lilly says Jeremy Renner is wheelchair-bound: ‘Miracle

Evangeline Lilly stated that her co-star Jeremy Renner, who was gravely injured in a snowplow accident last month, is making remarkable progress.

Following a recent visit where Renner was in a wheelchair, Lilly stated that the 52-year-old has “recovered like a mo-fo.”

“When I entered his home, I got chicken skin because I asked, ‘Why are you mobile? Why do you travel? What’s going on?’ “I anticipated sitting by his bedside and holding his hand while he wailed in pain and was unable to move,” she told Access.

“He was wheeling himself around with his companions, laughing. It is a miracle, an absolute miracle.”

This man is built of something incredibly resilient. This has always been apparent in him. I am extremely appreciative that he is recovering so well,” she continued.

Renner was hospitalized in Lake Tahoe when he “experienced a weather-related accident while plowing snow” and suffered “extensive” injuries, including the breakage of over 30 bones.

Before running over his nephew’s leg, it was discovered that Renner had attempted to stop a snowplow from slipping and injuring his nephew.

“He had a near-death experience that was extremely traumatic, and he was awake the entire time,” said Lilly of her friend. “It has truly stayed with me. It’s been days, and I’m still experiencing flashbacks to some of the things he told me he saw and heard, as well as the events he recounted to me.

“He has a journey ahead of him now,” she continued. “This is the stuff nightmares are made of, but he survived it and is now on the other side.”

Renner endured operations and needed round-the-clock medical attention after losing a substantial amount of blood.

Following a heavy snowstorm, the Marvel star was using his Kassbohrer PistenBully snow plow to carve a route out of his five-bedroom home. The storm had left over 35,000 residents in the area without power.

After a neighbor who happened to be a doctor placed a tourniquet to his leg to halt the bleeding, he was airlifted to a hospital near Reno and then transferred to the intensive care unit after undergoing procedures.

Renner declared one month ago that he was home from the hospital and recovering.
