Mark Pilgrim’s dog keeps him company during his most recent drip treatment

Mark Pilgrim, a popular DJ, has gone to social media to update his followers on his ongoing cancer struggle.

The Hot102.7fm radio DJ announced to his Twitter and Instagram followers on Thursday that he was receiving another drip at home, while his gorgeous Yorkie kept him company.

The 53-year-old, who previously worked at 5FM, 94.7 Highveld Stereo, 94.5 Kfm, and Hot91, stated that he was “still out of breath doing the smallest things” but was “walking a little further without his cane each day.”

Pilgrim penned, “Getting a four-hour drip at home is much easier with a small furry companion

“Still out of breath doing the simplest tasks, especially with the drainage tube still in my chest, but walking a little further without my cane each day.”

#dontstopbelievingMeanwhile, according to The South African website, Pilgrim proposed to his partner Adrienne Watkins on New Year’s Eve, shortly after he was released from the hospital after spending 64 days in ICU, during which time he lost about 15kg.

In June 2022, Pilgrim disclosed that his stage 4 lung cancer had progressed to his femur, the base of his spine, and his lymph nodes.
