According to head coach Jerry Tshabalala, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are prepared and looking forward to the start of the Hollywood Super League season.
Tshabalala is aware of the threat posed by United when the defending champions host Richmond United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday. The reigning champions will be hoping to get off to a strong start in their league campaign.
“Richmond has been the only team to score two goals against us at home and on the road over the past two seasons,” Tshabalala told Sunday World.

Tshabalala stated that keeping the league would provide them with a second chance to play at the highest level on the continent, and possibly against Europe’s top clubs at the rumored 2023 Women’s Club World Cup.
“Winning the league always affords us the chance to compete against other African teams,” he remarked.

Tshabalala stated that the team had recruited interesting and high-quality players, but he did not wish to reveal too much, stating that the supporters will only learn about the new additions when they hit the field.
After officially gaining the status of Vasco Da Gama, TS Galaxy Queens will join freshly promoted Copperbelt Ladies and University of Pretoria in the Super League.
Galaxy became the third DStv Premiership club to have a women’s team, joining Sundowns and Royal AM.
