Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will be striving for further glory against Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies, a team in fine form, after finding their scoring touch against the Thunderbirds Ladies in midweek.
Last time out, goals from Melinda Kgadiete and Miche Minnies drove Masandawana to a stunning victory, and they will look to extend their advantage at the top of the Hollywoodbets Super League as the title race heats up.
Sundowns Ladies have 52 points and a four-point lead at the top of the rankings after winning 17 of their last 20 games. The TUT Women are in second place with 48 points after playing two more games. JVW FC is in third place with 45 total points.
Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies are ranked fourth with 41 points, and Coach Jerry ‘Kappa’ Tshabalala anticipates a difficult matchup on Sunday.

Overall, Banyana Ba Style has scored an astounding 83 goals, just four fewer than previous season’s total of 87. Despite the relentless offensive performances this season, Coach Jerry thinks that winning the championship is the primary objective.
“We are satisfied with the number and caliber of goals scored this season. Nonetheless, we are focused on the main reward, which is the trophy. There are ten games remaining, and we must win as many as possible to create separation at the top of the standings. We are a club that typically goes on extended scoring streaks, and we must work hard to ensure that continues,” Coach Jerry said.
Sundowns Ladies dominated this matchup last season with a 2-0 home victory and a 2-0 away victory in the rematch. Boitumelo Rabale and Gabonnelwe Kekana scored for the Brazilians in a 2-0 home triumph earlier this season.
The match between Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies will take place at Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammarsdale on October 2, 2022. The contest will commence at 15:30.
