Authorities say an Indiana woman abducted an eight-year-old girl from a playground, dropped her off at her house with her shocked husband, and then raced naked down the street.

Brittany Hurtt, 34, reportedly fought with Austin police when she was detained on Monday, yelling that children “were being taught by computers and all the children needed to die” as she was transported for a medical check, according to court documents.

Prior to the abduction, Hurtt reportedly attempted to take another child, with the would-be victim subsequently telling officials that Hurtt grabbed her wrist and stated, “Let’s start a family.”

WXIN-TV reported, citing an arrest document, that police were told that a woman had climbed over a fence and kidnapped an eight-year-old child from an elementary school playground before fleeing in her vehicle.

According to officials, Hurtt’s husband afterwards waved down cops and said that his wife had returned home with an unknown kid in the passenger seat before disrobing and running down the street.

The youngster was soon returned to the school, and an officer chased Hurtt, who was “running in the street nude carrying two white trash bags.”

According to court documents, Hurtt hit an officer’s vehicle and attempted to “yank the door open” before cops restrained her and battled to get her into the police car while she resisted.

Once inside the car, Hurtt allegedly began “kicking the back windows” while shouting and refusing to put on the clothing that her husband had brought.

Officers attempted to place Hurtt on a gurney in order to transport her to the emergency department for assessment. At that time, she reportedly kicked an officer in the hand and was “making statements about how the children were being taught by the computers and all the children needed to die.”

Hurtt now faces charges of abduction, violence on a public safety employee, criminal trespass, resisting law enforcement, public nudity, and public obscenity, according to a Monday Facebook post by the Austin Police Department.

After the incident, Austin Elementary School issued a statement claiming the school was placed into lockdown and that the kid was returned “within minutes.”

“Austin Elementary is reassessing playground protocols to increase security and safety for students,” said the Facebook-posted statement.

The school district confirmed to Fox News Digital that Hurtt has a kid enrolled at the school and that, as a result of the event, the school would make various modifications, including increasing the height of its current fence.
