On January 5, 2023, five persons were shot through a window in B-Section Eldorado Park Ext.2 and the police have launched a large manhunt for the perpetrators.
Two guys were shot and killed, and three were injured and transported to a hospital.
Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, a police spokesperson, stated that the victims were inside an apartment at approximately 22:30 on Thursday when an undetermined number of suspects fired rounds at them via a window.
Four people are arrested in connection with an alleged December shooting in Westbury.
Masondo stated that the motivation for the shooting is now unknown.

In a separate incident, police arrested four individuals on Thursday, 5 January 2023, in relation to a gunshot on New Year’s Eve, 31 December 2023, in Westbury.
The suspects were found in possession of firearms, a vehicle taken from Ennerdale in December, ammo, and illegal substances.
Masondo stated that these suspects are thought to be implicated in the widespread gangsterism in Westbury and Eldorado Park.
