Last night, Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service attended to a collision on Marine Drive in Shelly Beach.
When rescue crews arrived, they discovered a motorcycle had crashed with a car.
Paramedics arrived on the scene promptly and discovered that one patient had suffered significant injuries and had gone into cardiac arrest. Ray Nkonyeni Fire and Rescue Services began CPR immediately, and paramedics continued Advanced Life Support resuscitation until a heartbeat was restored.
The patient was stabilized on the scene before being transferred to the hospital for more treatment and stabilization, and then airlifted to a specialty facility for further management.
