Two critically injured in a single-vehicle collision on the R103 near Midmar dam

A single-vehicle collision was reported on the R103 near Midmar dam, and a Midlands EMS Howick ambulance was deployed.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that a single vehicle had left the lane and collided with the embankment, injuring two people who required advanced life support treatment.

Both patients were taken to a nearby private hospital for further treatment once they had been stabilized.

Local authorities are investigating the actual cause of the collision.
