Notable among them were the Governors of Kogi, Ogun, Ekiti, Oyo, Imo, Kwara, and Lagos, who were spotted in the Senate Chamber.

Additionally, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, and the National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore, were also present during the event.

His opponent, Abdulaziz Yari, was defeated in the race.
