Tuesday morning, January 10, a cab and a donkey were involved in a deadly collision in the Kuruman region of the Northern Cape. The collision killed one of the taxi’s passengers, as well as the animal.
According to an Emer-G-Med spokesperson, the reported accident happened along the R31 route in the Kuruman area.
“On arrival on the scene a minibus taxi was found to have crashed into a donkey before overturning,” said van Reenen.
One passenger died, while numerous others sustained mild to serious injuries. The wounded were treated and stabilised on the scene before being transported to local hospitals for additional medical care.
The collision killed the donkey.
