On Sunday night, Christina Applegate, the 51-year-old “Married with Children” actress, appeared at the 2023 SAG Awards with her 12-year-old daughter, Sadie Grace LeNoble.
The actress, diagnosed with MS in early 2021, wore a black velvet Christian Siriano gown and a bedazzled black cane with messages including “FU MS” and “Sadie” with a heart.
Her loose waves and bright red lip completed her elegant look, and she chose not to wear jewelry for the evening.
Meanwhile, her daughter coordinated with her mother in a matching black outfit with a black trouser suit, a newsboy-style cap, and platform Doc Martens.
Applegate was nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series category for her role on “Dead to Me.”
Her red carpet appearance follows an exciting moment for the “Up All Night” actress, who recently rocked an MS-themed manicure as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
While Applegate has only attended a few awards shows since her diagnosis, the SAG Awards could be one of her last on the red carpet.
Applegate recently revealed to the Los Angeles Times that she “couldn’t imagine” continuing to work as an actress as she continues to fight the disease.
“It’s my last awards show as an actor probably, so it’s kind of a big deal,” she said.
Despite the possibility of this being her last awards show, Applegate seemed to be enjoying the glamorous night.
During her Walk of Fame ceremony, she went barefoot, sharing that it was easier to walk without shoes.
Regardless, she made a statement on the SAG’s red carpet, with her bedazzled cane sending a powerful message.
