Beautician who survived the A40 collision described her “miraculous escape”

From her hospital bed, a beautician who survived the horrifying A40 incident described her “miracle escape” and how she implored the driver to slow down.

The automobile veered off the road near to Park Royal train station at up to 100 mph early on Monday morning, according to Zamarod Arif, who claimed to be fully aware at the time.

The 26-year-old, who was in the front seat and was wearing a seat belt, described the experience of being flung about inside the Range Rover as “like being in a tsunami.”

She said one of the first on the site who had witnessed the wrecked 4×4 advised her to pray because he didn’t believe she would live.

The accident that killed her closest friend, 33-year-old mother-of-one Yagmur Ozden, was seen on the dashcam of an Uber driver while his vehicle was being charged at the Tesla Centre.

As the accelerating car smashed through two barricades and into the Tesla charging station, she was catapulted from the back passenger seat.

According to Zamarod, the driver Rida Al Mousawi was also ejected from the vehicle and suffered a serious injury before arriving at Park Royal station’s platform.

She admitted to MailOnline that neither Yagmur nor Rida were buckled up. She claimed, “I instructed them both to fasten their seatbelts, but they didn’t listen.”

My heart is simply bleeding since Yag was my closest buddy. I am aware of my good fortune in life, and I wish Rida the best of success. My heart is aching because I feel so sad.’

“The fact that I am here is a miracle.” When I was born, people referred to me as a miracle baby, and this is the second miracle. I’ve been rescued and given another opportunity by God.

She described the collision by saying, “I was cognizant the whole time I was in the automobile.” I could feel every fall. Everything affected me.

Three days before, Yagmur and I had seen the tsunami movie The Impossible, in which a girl was struck by the tsunami. It seemed as if she was being pounded by water from all directions. The encounter was the worst I’ve ever had.

I feel so fortunate to be alive.

Reliving the events just before to the violent collision, Zamarod recalled pleading with the driver to slow down on behalf of Yagmur: “Rida loved to drive fast and he likes to torment people while they are in the vehicle.” As soon as we walked out of the Wish Lounge, we were moving so quickly.

“I instructed Rida to slow down as we entered the A40.” As soon as we came to a halt at the red light at the BP garage, Rida accelerated. He just continued speeding up.

I touched his arm and ordered him to calm down. He was being urged to slow down by Yagmur as well. She disliked travelling quickly because of a terrible experience in the past. We both felt fear.

Yagmur Ozden, a 33-year-old mother of one beautician who died in the A40 Range Rover collision, is remembered by her family as “Heaven has received another angel.”

Her relatives praised Miss Ozden in a memorial, calling her “an angel” who was “extremely hilarious and could brighten even the saddest person.”

She was described as having a “warm heart” and as a person who enjoyed “spending time with friends and family.”

A member of Ozden’s family, who was killed in the collision seen on dashcam, verified her identity to MailOnline. The driver, Rida Al Mousawi.

The family sent Miss Ozden a heartfelt tribute, calling her “an incredible and supportive mother.”

She had a wonderful relationship with her daughter, and the latter would always treasure the times she spent with her mother, they said.

The 33-year-relatives old’s said that she had “always been fearful of speed and automobiles,” adding that “she would never want to drive in the dark as she would be terrified.”

She like applying lashes and used to work as a lash technician. She was a complete sucker for everything beauty-related.

I told Rida to slow down as I glanced across at him and stroked his arm. It will be nice, he remarked as he met my eyes.

Yag suddenly yelled that there was an obstruction in the way. It may have been a cat or another animal, I’m not sure. When Rida moved to the side, we immediately took off.

Zamarod wasn’t seriously hurt in the collision, just suffering a fractured arm and leg.

She consented to an interview while laying in bed and was dressed in a black and white hospital gown. She had a vivid memory of everything that happened before and before the collision.

Since they both worked in the beauty industry, Zamarod and Yagmur had been good friends for many years. They also both knew Rida Al Mousawi since they first met him at the Wish Lounge, a gathering place for Iraqis.

The two ladies were scheduled to attend a birthday celebration on Sunday, but Yagmur’s car’s battery was dead. Zamraod said that she requested the assistance of other persons, and Rida replied that he would see them later.

The two ladies met Rida at the Wish Lounge after the friend’s party, and he volunteered to take them to his house in Greenford so they could pick up charging cords.

He allegedly reportedly offered to assist her in starting the vehicle and drove back to Yagmur’s apartment.

“I was aware the whole time.” I saw Rida laying on the platform as the train came to rest on the track,’ she said. He turned when I called out to him because he was still moving and breathing strongly. It was terrible. He remained silent.

I was in excruciating agony and only waited for the ambulance staff to arrive. I should say a prayer, someone advised as they approached the automobile, since I had little chance of surviving. Since my leg was stuck, I was unable to move.

I didn’t see Yagmur in the vehicle, but an emergency personnel said that she was unharmed. They were only attempting to protect me since I knew she did not survive.

“I can still imagine us floating through the air, even today in the hospital.”

According to Zamarod, a stroke of luck placed them in the same vehicle with Rida, a 24-year-old manager of a jewellery shop from Greenford, West London. At Paddington’s St. Mary’s Hospital, he is still unconscious.

Yag and I were planning to attend a birthday celebration on Sunday night, but her car’s battery was dead. Rida was one of the persons that responded when I phoned a bunch of different folks.

He was heading to the Wish Lounge, but we went to the party instead since we didn’t want to go. After the celebration, we arrived in the Wish Lounge about 3.30 am and stayed there for five to ten minutes.

Rida promised to return us to Yag’s house with some jumper wires he had borrowed from his brother. We hopped in the vehicle for that reason. He had spent most of the evening there.

“He started moving quickly as soon as we exited the Wish Lounge.”

Less than a mile from the accident scene lies The Wish Lounge, a late-night shisha joint popular with young Iraqis.

Metal plates have been implanted in Zamarod’s arm and leg as part of her treatment at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.

She said that she has not yet been questioned by the police crash investigation team and that she has not given any official statements on the incident.

Through her Instagram feed, Zamarod made a video call to MailOnline.

Yagmur applied eyelashes, and I shape the physique. She had been working out of my salon, and we had been introducing one other’s clients.

Her relatives praised Miss Ozden in a memorial, calling her “an angel” who was “extremely hilarious and could brighten even the saddest person.”

She was described as having a “warm heart” and as a person who enjoyed “spending time with friends and family.”

Ozden was the lady died in the collision shown on the dashcam, a member of the driver Rida Al Mousawi’s extended family revealed to MailOnline.

At a beauty parlour on North London’s Kilburn High Road, Ozden was a specialist in eyelash extensions up until a year ago.

The salon was shuttered during the last lockdown of 2021, and it’s believed that Ozden resumed her freelancing beauty business from a studio in Maida Vale.

She “liked spending time with friends and family,” according to the family, when she wasn’t working.

She was quite hilarious and could quickly lift the spirits of even the most depressed people, they said.

She was an absolute angel. She loved profoundly, was very passionate, and showed concern for everyone. We are aware of the addition of a new angel to heaven.

She often stopped by his business on her way home, according to a neighbouring store owner.

The shopkeeper said, “She was quite sociable and would call in to grab food and say she is heading home.”

“I grieve for her tiny kid; what has happened to her is sad.”

Ozden identified herself as a “eyelash extension artist” on her LinkedIn profile.

The My Studio beauty shop, where she spent a lot of years working, is shown in pictures that were submitted to the employment site two years ago.

Police are still requesting dashcam evidence since there are rumours that automobiles were ‘racing’ nearby.

The plea is being made while detectives wait for the involved Range Rover car’s driver to awaken from his coma so they may interview him.

Rida Al Mousawi, 24, is still in a coma at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, but his family is certain that he does not use alcohol or drugs, and that his car’s out-of-control speed may have been the result of a technical issue.

Al Mousawi, the manager of an Iraqi-born jewellery business who resides in Greenford, West London, was driving a supercharged 4×4 when, at approximately 3.50am on Monday, he collided with a Tesla charging station and a parked vehicle, killing the 56-year-old man who was inside.

The vehicle then overturned and landed on the rails at Park Royal station.

According to reports, he owns the Hiba Jewellery shop on London’s Edgware Road, where he is widely known among other store owners for his passion for automobiles.

We all knew him since he had a very busy social life, and he is a fantastic man. He was unmarried.

The family of Miss Arif, who identifies as a personal trainer and “body sculpting specialist” while also majoring in business, said last night that she was forced from the vehicle and is still being treated for a fractured arm and leg.

The performance 4×4 crashed over the barrier on the A40 at 3.48 in the morning, striking a Tesla showroom and inflicting thousands of pounds worth of damage, as seen on dashcam video.

The Range Rover crashed into a 57-year-old man’s automobile as it was charging in the middle of the road. He suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

I learned around 8am, Miss Arif’s brother Raza Arif told the Daily Mail. My sister had been in an accident, the police called to inform me. The fact that she lived mattered a lot. That is my everything—that is my blood, that is my body.

I praise God and am overjoyed. I am at my wit’s end.

As her brother, I’m utterly annoyed by it. We’re all in a state of disbelief about someone travelling over 100 mph in a 40 mph zone. It makes absolutely no sense.

The Range Rover may have been travelling at more than 100 mph when it went off the road, according to a source at Jaguar Land Rover, the company that makes Range Rovers, who spoke to the Mail.

A lady was “ejected” from the Range Rover as it shot into the air, according to Uber driver Nawaf Ali, who was nearby at the moment.

It seemed as if she had been thrown from the automobile, he told MailOnline. I would have been struck if I had been a few feet away. It was considerably worse than what you would expect from a horror film.

The circumstances that led to his supercharged Range Rover SVR exiting the A40 at a high speed are being pieced together by crash investigators.

Witness A few hours before to the collision, Katee Moore, 30, was awakened by the sounds of loud motors.

She admitted to being awakened by traffic noise at 2 am that lasted for about an hour and a half.

A Range Rover was parked and someone was watching their friend’s BMW spin around the circle.

Later, we heard a terrible boom, and all of a sudden, the cops arrived.

Many of us went to lay flowers since, according to reports, she is a young mother of a six-year-old.

Jim Hinchcliffe, a detective sergeant with the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:

“This inquiry is still ongoing, and we are looking at all of the facts surrounding the crash.”

“I understand there is a lot of conjecture about the circumstances, including if there was racing in the area before, and all of this is part of the inquiry,” the statement reads.

‘It is vital that anybody who observed the event, or who has any dash cam, CCTV, or doorbell video of the minutes leading up to it, make contact with the police immediately,’ said his colleague Detective Constable Ben Simpson.

“We need the public’s cooperation to develop our image of what has transpired here. One person has died and another is still critically sick in the hospital.”

According to a Met Police spokeswoman, the 33-year-old victim’s family has been notified of her passing and has requested that their privacy be respected.

The appeal was made as Mr. Al Mousawi’s family claimed that a technical issue could have contributed to his car’s out-of-control speed.

They claim that Mr. Al Mousawi did not use alcohol or drugs, was fully aware of the speed traps on the route, and had no justification for driving so quickly.

According to eyewitness reports, the supercharged automobile was moving at a speed of above 100 mph.

The police were unable to get Mr. Al Mousawi to provide a statement.
