After murder-suicide, 31-year-old woman leaves unsettling message

As police arrived at the site after hearing gunshots, an optometrist accused of killing three family members posted a terrifying statement on social media.

The allegations of Khosay Sharifi, 31, that her twin sister had been mistreated for the duration of their 14-year marriage were disregarded by their family.

During the shooting rampage on Tuesday afternoon, Sharifi is accused of killing her father, her brother-in-law, and his father before shooting herself in the head.

When witnesses heard gunshots shortly before 3 o’clock in the afternoon, Lynn Police went to the area and found her dead in a residence there, along with two males, ages 34 and 66.

Sharifi said that her father had also been “verbally and financially abusive” to her mother less than ten minutes later in a terrifying Facebook post.

She also claimed that the 34-year-old guy who was shot dead was her twin sister’s husband, and that he had “choked, slapped, kicked, and yelled” at her before “punching her in the face.”

The message read: “My parents and his parents have known for years, but haven’t really done much other than suggest that you “work it out,” “what would people think if you split,” or even victim blame.”

I’m trying to be as polite as I can in order to prevent the deletion of my post. He has no justification for what he did.

He persisted in doing it since no one intervened. How long did he imagine getting away with it?

They are unaware that abuse may have an impact on a person’s emotional as well as physical health. No abuse is acceptable.

At 4.30 p.m., Sharifi’s body was found in her vehicle in the parking lot of a Stop and Shop on Washington Street, about a mile from the site of the first incident on Rockaway Street.

Police have established that she first killed her brother-in-father, law’s 56, in his minivan on Leighton Street, then murdered her father, 66, and her brother-in-law at the home on Rockaway Street.

Officers soon recognised Sharifi as the murderer, and all three crime locations were within one mile of one another.

She addressed her sister specifically in the post as well, writing: “To my sister: I hope you start healing & genuinely educate your girls that violence is not normal since they have also seen him smack you.

I inquired as to how they felt about it, and they said that they were terrified and unsure of what to do.

Let’s avoid passing it on to your children the same way it was given to you.

According to what I have personally seen, my father has also been abusive in the past, mostly financially abusive to my mother.

At 4.30 p.m., Sharifi’s body was found in her vehicle in the parking lot of a Stop and Shop on Washington Street, about a mile from the site of the first incident on Rockaway Street. She said that the assault by the twin sister’s husband had been tolerated.

Perhaps since she is a victim as well, my mother did not shield her own daughter from harm.

However, it is still unacceptable to allow your own daughter to be harmed.

One horrified neighbour called the situation “scary” as they recalled seeing Lynn police and Massachusetts State Police trucks clog the normally peaceful neighbourhood.

The identity of the gunman and the three dead individuals have not yet been publicly confirmed by the authorities.

At a news conference, Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett revealed how the four individuals were linked to one another and that they had been conversing with family members via a translator.

It was “not in her character to be a murderer,” a friend of the family told DailyMail.com, adding that they were startled to learn of the occurrence.

It’s not in her nature to be a murderer, they said. I never in a million years would have believed that my buddy was in an abusive relationship.

You never truly understand what others are going through, which is ridiculous. The daughters had a rather difficult childhood, but Khosay wasn’t a bad guy.

They live in a unique environment and face many challenges. They weren’t truly heard.

Since she didn’t want her nieces to continue the habit, Khosay was likely exhausted and that set her off.

“Her sister had it the worse since she was overburdened.” She tried everything, but her spouse didn’t appear to be very helpful.

Khosay said that her mother was informed of the abuse by her sister, but that her mother did nothing as a result.

“We advised her to contact the police or leave him, but I believe she was afraid.”

After stating that she wouldn’t put up with the “nonsense” of being married to the wrong guy, Khosay concluded her message.

Also, please don’t pressure me into getting married to the wrong person, she pleaded.

This entire “just work things out” way of thinking has to change because it is unhealthy. This crap will not be dealt with by me.

The family started a GoFundMe campaign to collect $20,000 for the funerals of the four family members, and it has already received more than $14,000.

The Sharifi family wrote on the website, “Four of our dear ones have passed away in tragic and unexpected circumstances.

“Mental health has repeatedly shown to be such a significant social problem. Abuse of any kind has a substantial negative impact on the victims and causes harm and loss in a variety of ways.

“This situation victimised our family, leaving two young children without a father.” We feel shocked, sad, and completely lost.

“We are finding it difficult to gather money to pay for the funerals.” As you may know, funerals are costly, therefore right now we are trying to raise money to pay for four.

In addition, two young children must be financially supported and given the proper care while they cope with this loss.
