Range Rover crashes off A40 and into Tesla Centre barrier

Horrifying video captures the horrifying moment a Range Rover plows over a fence, collides with a Tesla that is parked, and ends up on a railway line, killing one person and injuring three more.

At 3.48 in the morning, a Range Rover drove off the road, crashed into a metal barrier, and slammed into a guy in his 50s who was seated by himself charging his car at the Tesla Centre near Park Royal underground station.

Off the A40 Western Avenue in West London, a woman in her 20s who was thought to be a female passenger in the Range Rover died at the scene.

A female passenger is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while the male driver of the 4×4 that wound up on the Piccadilly Line lines is in critical condition. Three people traveling in a Range Rover are all in their 20s.

The driver of the Tesla was hospitalized for less severe wounds.

Video captures the moment the Range Rover rams through the Tesla Centre’s barrier, seriously damaging a number of charging stations.

Before police were summoned to the “mayhem” at 3.48am, one resident told the MailOnline they remembered hearing a “mini explosion” in the wee hours of this morning.

Another person, Andrew Wood, who resides in a residence near to the train station, stated: “It woke me up.” At around half past three, I heard this massive party. I initially believed that someone was breaking into one of the garages.

The pedestrian walkway is behind the fence, and the car must have crashed through it to get there. When helicopters arrived, it seemed like the Third World War for ten minutes.

I heard a big crash, said Nada Alobaidi, 31, who also resides in the apartment building next to the station. When I stepped outside, I noticed numerous police officers and an ambulance.

The smoke was thick. Since it was nighttime, I didn’t notice the car.

The A40 near Park Royal Station can be rather hazardous. Automobile accidents do occasionally occur.

As they sealed off the area, police stated that the Piccadilly Line and the A40 will remain closed for a “significant period of time.”

Officers are waiting for official confirmation that the deceased has been identified and that their next of kin have been notified.

The Tesla was parked off the road when it was struck by the second car that veered off the A40, a police source told the MailOnline.

Unless there was a catastrophic mechanical failure, we’ll be checking to see if alcohol played a role in any way.

The Range Rover sped up, drove through a metal fence, and struck the stationary Tesla even though it was not on the road.

One of the primary exits from central London, the western part of the A40, is still blocked up to all traffic.

Andrew Wood, a local neighbor, told the MailOnline that as the Range Rover veered off the road and onto the subterranean rails, he awoke to a “little explosion.”

“There was a loud bang, almost like a small explosion,” the 61-year-old stated. After a brief period of silence, all you could hear was the sound of a car alarm.

I left my apartment to find out what had happened, but I thought there had been a crash on one of the local highways. I avoided focusing on the track. A few minutes later, the only sounds you could hear were police helicopters and sirens. It was chaos.

According to Mr. Wood, the 4×4 could only have reached the track by taking off and flying over the flat roof of the waiting area at Park Royal subterranean station.

There is no sign of an apparent break in a metal fence next to the platform in photos taken at the scene from a roof overlooking the debris. About 60 meters from the track, one can observe the shattered remains of a charging point.

This morning, investigating teams worked around the damaged wreckage of the Range Rover, which was still on the tracks with plastic and other automobile components all over the platform.

Later, it was observed that the wrecked white Tesla, which had sustained significant damage to its rear passenger side in the incident, was being placed onto a flat bed truck and driven away from the scene of the collision.

Another apartment dweller in the area claimed that she was awakened by the sound of sirens when emergency personnel arrived on the site.

We didn’t hear the crash, but then we were awakened by all the sirens, a woman who lives in a flat that looks out over the A40 told the MailOnline.

“All I could see as I looked out the window was a series of blue flashing lights.” It was absolutely awful.

Police were called to a collision on the A40 westbound near Park Royal Underground Station at 03:48 on Monday, August 22nd, according to a statement from the Met Police.

‘Officers and ambulance personnel attended. According to reports, a Range Rover and a Tesla were in an accident, and the Range Rover ran off the road and into a railroad track. The Tesla is thought to have been motionless at the time.

The woman, who was thought to be a passenger in the Range Rover, died at the scene despite the efforts of the emergency services. She was believed to be in her 20s. The next of kin have been informed, and officers are awaiting formal identification.

The driver of the Range Rover, a man in his 20s, was taken to the hospital, where his condition is serious. A second Range Rover passenger, a woman in her 20s, is in stable condition.

‘A man, believed to have been with the stationary Tesla, was treated for injuries that have been determined to be non-life threatening. He is believed to be in his 50s.

Following the crash, “Cordons were placed in place, and the Piccadilly Line was suspended in part.”

Later, a representative for London Ambulance Service clarified to the MailOnline that the woman in the Tesla was not as critically hurt in the collision while the two people hurt in the Land Rover are receiving medical treatment for serious injuries.

According to a Transport for London spokeswoman, the A40 Western Avenue is closed in both directions at the intersection with the A4000 Wales Farm Road (Gypsy Corner), the Piccadilly line is not operating between Acton Town and Uxbridge, and two bus services are being diverted.

The manager of the London Underground and other transportation options in the city also confirmed to MailOnline that the Land Rover was not struck by a train because there were no rail services operating at the time, and there were also no engineering projects taking place on the lines.

The incident has been reported to the Rail Accident Investigation Branch, according to a representative for the branch who talked to MailOnline.

Having examined the facts, there is no reason to believe that more RAIB involvement would result in fresh safety advice.

We can affirm that the road car was not struck by a train because it occurred when there were no trains in motion.

It comes after rail travelers encountered difficulties getting around when tens of thousands of workers once again went on strike in a protracted dispute over pay, jobs, and conditions.

Network Rail and several railway companies all throughout the country were impacted by the 24-hour strike on Saturday by members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT), the Transport Salaried Staffs’ Association (TSSA), and Unite.
