After being released from the hospital, Bam Margera reveals the gruesome circumstances of his December hospitalization. The Jackass star, who was taken to the ICU late last year for COVID-19, disclosed to his former co-star Steve-O that he had been battling COVID-19, seizures, and pneumonia.
Margera stated he was “pronounced dead” in early December after getting the virus while participating on Steve-Wild O’s Ride podcast yesterday (January 5).
Margera stated, “Essentially, I was pronounced dead on December 8.” “I was unaware that I had virulent COVID and that my body was shutting down. I experienced four seizures, each lasting between 10 and 20 minutes. On the fourth one, I chewed my tongue so severely that it almost fell off. It became so bloated and big that it no longer fit in my mouth. I drank the infectious blood, which also brought me pneumonia.”
While in the hospital, Margera reported having his fifth seizure, which is when he began to have problems breathing.
He told Steve-O, “I went to the hospital after experiencing my fifth seizure and was unable to breathe without a tube down my throat.” “When I awoke five days later, I believed I had only been there for a few hours. They responded, “Man, you’ve been gone for about a week. We attempted to remove the breathing tube, but you were unable to breathe on your own. I therefore spent eight days there. When they removed the tube, I felt as if I had sucked on Darth Vader’s penis.”
Steve-O told his visitor that when he first learnt of Margera’s hospitalization, he feared for his life.
“Seeing Bam is on a ventilator, which means he cannot breathe on his own… Oh my god, you’re in the ICU, intensive care unit, in a critical but stable state. “This is it,” he stated. “My first legitimate thought was, Bam better not die for f**sake, *’s dude.”
