Last month, Bam Margera “was essentially declared dead” after experiencing a series of seizures while hospitalized for pneumonia.
On Thursday’s episode of “Steve-Wild O’s Ride!” podcast, the former professional skateboarder explained that a “gnarly” case of COVID-19 caused his health problems.
“My body was shutting down, and I had four seizures, each lasting between 10 and 20 minutes. During the fourth seizure, I bit my tongue so hard that it was almost severed,” he claimed.
“It was swollen and puffy and wouldn’t fit in my mouth, and I was drinking infected blood, which gave me pneumonia, so when the shaman took me to the hospital I had my fifth seizure, and I needed a tube down my throat to breathe.”
Last month, Margera confessed he nearly died in the hospital.

Five days later, the former “Jackass” star awoke believing he had only been in the hospital for a few hours, when in reality he had been there for eight days.
He remarked, “When they removed that tube, I felt like I had sucked on Darth Vader’s d–k.” I would consume tea and lozenges all day long if I could.
After seeing his friend on a ventilator, Steve-O confessed he feared his friend was going to die, despite the fact that Margera is now able to joke about the situation.
However, he quickly added with a chuckle, “F—king Bam better not die. “He’s on my tour, and he’ll ruin everything!”
Margera reassured the podcast host that he “didn’t have an out-of-body experience” but rather “blacked out” because he did not recall nearly dying or his heart stopping.
“I’m out!” When he was released, Margera posted on Instagram.
The update comes three weeks after Margera posted on social media about being released from the hospital.
“I’m out!” he captioned an Instagram snapshot of himself and his pal Johnny Schillereff. “Thank you for your love, support, and prayers, friends and family.”
