A 23-year-old man, is pronounced dead at the scene, police appeals for witnesses to the incident.

After a Range Rover collided with a 5G antenna last night, a man was killed and a woman was taken into jail.

The 23-year-old guy, who was reportedly riding in the Range Rover’s front seat, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, who are now seeking any witnesses to the incident in Gorton, Greater Manchester.

The woman, who is also 23 years old, is still being held on suspicion of causing death by hazardous driving when she was apparently operating a grey Audi A3 that police believe was involved in the collision.

A second passenger in the Range Rover received minor injuries in the collision that happened just before 3 a.m. this morning, while the Range Rover’s driver is being treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries in the hospital.

According to Greater Manchester Police, specialized personnel have been sent to assist the man’s family.

The route remained closed until the early hours and is still closed, a police spokesperson added.

To aid in its investigation, the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is currently requesting contact information from anyone who may have observed the two automobiles traveling in the Gorton area.

“Officers are especially eager to speak to anyone who may have film,” according to a statement from the police, “including dashcam, mobile phone, CCTV, or doorbell footage from the area in the moments leading up to the crash.”

In particular, my sympathies are with the family of the man who tragically lost his life.

We are doing everything we can to support them during this terrible time, stated Sergeant Andrew Page of our SCIU.

We’re trying to put together the details surrounding this incident, and we’ll be doing a full and thorough investigation to make sure nothing is overlooked in determining the precise circumstances.

“While we already have one woman in custody, we are eager to hear from anyone who may have saw or overheard anything in the area in the early hours, or who may have film from that period that could prove to be essential to our inquiry.”
