In Argentina, a deliveryman almost lost his life when he tried to ride his motorcycle across a railroad track and was nearly crushed by a train.

Saturday night, the 23-year-old motorcyclist was on his way to make a delivery in Quilmes, a city in the southeast of Buenos Aires, when he disregarded a notice warning drivers to stop at a railroad crossing.

The rider looked to be in a hurry to reach his goal, as he sped past a vehicle that had stopped at the junction.

The cyclist positioned himself around the lowered gate and glanced in all ways, but he obviously misjudged the distance and speed of the train.

Subsequently, he began to cross the track on his motorbike when a train struck him and hurled him to the ground.

The strong hit drove him flying to the ground and shattered his motorbike.

The man was transferred to Iriarte Hospital for treatment of his two leg fractures.

According to local media, the disaster occurred less than two weeks after four-year-old Thian Alfaro was killed by a train in the Buenos Aires suburb of Bosques.

On August 14, while going with his mother to a celebration, the boy let go of his mother’s hand and raced over the railway tracks.

The train engineer did not have sufficient time to use the brakes and struck the kid, who was pronounced dead at the site.

Two days later, a 24-year-old Peruvian woman was killed by a freight train in the central Argentine municipality of Córdoba while returning from a doctor’s visit with her five-month-old child.

According to authorities, Pamela Farro was startled by the train and threw her baby to the ground in an attempt to save its life. The infant was hospitalised after suffering a head injury.
