On April 11, Aki Lee from Liverpool ordered two large parcels containing furniture to her city centre flat.
However, she claims the delivery driver refused to deliver the “huge parcels” to her flat door.
She said she was confused because when she shopped at IKEA, the company said the parcels could be delivered to a room of her choosing.
The delivery driver was in a rush and refused to let them borrow the metal trolley to push the parcels to the flat.
Instead, he left the parcels at the lobby, insisting he could not take them any further.
Aki claims that the driver then pushed her legs with the trolley as he was leaving.
Injuries and Investigation
Aki was left with huge bruises on her legs, which she described as “very painful” and left her “very upset.”
She felt the driver’s actions were intrusive, but she needed the parcel.
She informed the Liverpool ECHO that she wanted to let the driver go but couldn’t because she needed the package.
She has filed a complaint with the company, which is currently being investigated.
A spokesperson for DPD stated they were unaware of these allegations and could not verify the claims but would be carrying out an investigation.
They added they were waiting to interview the driver in question. Merseyside Police reported that no assault had been reported to them.
