Authorities in Northern California are seeking for the public’s assistance in locating Kiely Rodni, a 16-year-old girl who may have been abducted, according to CBS Sacramento.

Rodni, of Truckee, northeast of Sacramento, was last seen early Saturday morning at the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. She was at a high school graduation celebration with dozens of other students.

Rodni’s automobile is also gone, a silver 2013 Honda CRV with California registration plates. Since the party, the teen’s phone has been out of service.

Rodni’s companion, Sami Smith, claims she spent the most of the night with her, and Rodni intended to spend the night at the campsite.

“I knew she wasn’t in the correct frame of mind or condition to drive. And she wouldn’t have gotten very far if she had driven “Smith said. “My fear is that someone may have volunteered to transport her home and then failed to do so.”

Authorities think her disappearance seems suspicious. Sunday was spent searching for her by search and rescue teams.

Because her automobile is gone, the sheriff’s office is investigating the event as a potential kidnapping.

Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, Rodni’s mother, urged in an internet video for anybody with information to come forward.

“All I want is for her to come home,” Rodni-Nieman added. “We’re terrified, and we miss her terribly.”

Rodni is described as being 5-feet-7-inches tall, 115 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes.

She was last spotted wearing Dickies jeans, a black tank top, and a nose ring, among other piercings and jewelry.

Rodni is a recent graduate of Truckee’s Forest Charter School.
