An urgent search is being conducted for a missing six-year-old girl whose mother was discovered dead on Saturday after committing herself.

Elle Ragin has been missing for several days, and on July 2, her mother Lisa Wade, 39, was found dead at her Northfield, Minnesota, home.

police fear Wade was responsible for Ragin’s disappearance before she committed suicide, albeit she hasn’t revealed what gave rise to this notion.

Wade committed suicide, but they haven’t revealed why, and they haven’t mentioned if they think Elle is still alive or not.

According to WCCO reporter Kirsten Mitchell, a police aircraft was seen Sunday night circling a cornfield close to the missing girl’s house.

The chief of police for Northfield, Mark Elliot, was also reported by Mitchell as saying: “Our hopes and prayers are that we will be able to find Elle safe somewhere and our heartfelt apologies go out to the family for their loss of Lisa.”

Authorities shared a new photo of the mother and daughter in their Sunday evening update, but they provided no further details on the search for Elle.

Wade resided in Northfield, which is located 40 miles south of Minneapolis, in the 600 block of Maple Brook Court. On 11:50 am, police were called to the house and there they discovered Wade’s death.

In a Facebook post encouraging the search for Ragin, a former neighbor of Lisa Wade stated: “She is the cutest young kid, and she had a beautiful family.” Although we are unsure of what to think, we have been praying and thinking about her all day.

Ragin attends Prairie Creek Community School as a student.

Ragin has brown eyes and curly brown hair. She is 45 pounds and 3 feet 6 inches tall.

Anyone who has spoken to Wade in the past two weeks or who knows anything about Ragin’s location is asked to call the Northfield Police Department at 507-645-4477, according to the authorities.

The location of the hunt for Elle Ragin is fewer than 50 miles from Lake Vadnais, Minnesota, where Molly Cheng, a Minnesota mother, is thought to have killed her three children and herself on Friday.

They passed away a few hours after Cheng’s husband, who only went by the name Kos, also shot himself in the bedroom.

The family belonged to the Hmong community in Minnesota.

With more than 66,000 residents, the Twin Cities region has the highest population of Hmong people in the country.

Cheng was a Thai native who worked as a beautician and tattoo artist.

The horrible suicide and the ensuing triple murder-suicide have not been linked to any more information.
