A 16-year-old girl who disappeared from a party at a campsite on Friday night and is now believed to have been kidnapped is the subject of a frantic hunt.
In her Honda CRV, Kiely Rodni, 16, was last seen leaving a high school graduation celebration at the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday. Since that time, she has not been seen or heard from.
She was one of 100 children that attended the celebration.
A tiny, rural community called Truckee is located close to Lake Tahoe and the Nevada state boundary.
Her absence is now being investigated by local police as an abduction, and they are appealing to anybody with information to come forward.
What evidence they have that the youngster was abducted is unknown.
The distressed mother of Kiely appealed in a Sunday night message: “Please, we just want to see our daughter home.”
“We are not seeking to arrest anybody or cause any problems for anyone,” they said.
Police suspect Kiely was kidnapped since her phone hasn’t worked since she left the party. Additionally, her automobile has yet to be located.
“We are very terrified.” We adore her and miss her terribly.
“If you see this, simply go home now.” I just want to give you a big embrace.
“Please come forward if you know where she is or have any information regarding where she could be.”
Her mother said, “We’re not wanting to arrest anybody or get anyone in jail; we just want to see our daughter home.”
The party was attended by children from both California and Nevada, according to the website put up for tips.
Attendees came from all around, including Tahoe, Truckee, Reno, Sparks, and Auburn.
“If you are a parent of a kid who attended this party or attended yourself, please search through your photographs, videos, and social media for any background images of Kiely to put together a useful chronology; who she may have been with, when she may have departed,” they said.
Kiely is 115 lbs. and 5 ft. 7 in. tall. She wore a black blouse and green jeans when she was last seen.
In the hopes of receiving tips, friends and relatives have started a GoFundMe to gather money for rewards.
