Woman stabbed her two young children on a busy motorway

In a vehicle on a busy highway, a lady is accused of stabbing her two small children.

The children were brought to the hospital with severe wounds.

At connection with the alleged incident in Wingfield, north of Adelaide, the 35-year-old lady is anticipated to be charged with two charges of attempted murder.

On Monday, shortly before 11.30 p.m., police were summoned to the North South Motorway in Wingfield after a member of the public was able to disarm and hold the lady.

According to reports, the mother stopped her vehicle, got the two sons, ages three and eight, out, and then stabbed them.

The lady was detained by bystanders until the cops came.

The two young patients from Modbury Heights are presently in stable condition after receiving critical injury treatment.

The lady was kept in the Royal Adelaide Hospital after being apprehended.
