Near Bacchus Marsh, Melbourne, a school bus flips off the Western Motorway after colliding with a vehicle.


A school bus carrying more 27 students has collided with a truck along the Western Highway in Victoria.

The bus collided with the truck at 3.15am at Bacchus Marsh, near the intersection of Condons Lane, about an hour away from Melbourne.

One teenage girl has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The male truck driver is also seriously injured and has been taken to hospital.

The other students, four adults onboard, and the bus driver, have been taken to hospital for observation.

All Melbourne-bound lanes on the Western Highway are expected to remain closed for several hours.

Parents are being asked to call Ballarat Police Station on 5336 6000, and not attend the scene of the crash
