The closure is in effect between J2 Newhouse and J23 Rogiet, as confirmed by Traffic Wales at approximately 5:00 am.

The closure, which extends in both directions from J2 A466 Wye Valley Link Road (Chepstow) to M4 J23, is being monitored by the traffic monitoring service, Inrix.

Similarly, the Severn Bridges’ page on X reassured the public that despite the closure, the M48 Bridge itself remains open.
