Wayne Carey busted at Perth Casino with white powder

AFL legend Wayne Carey was expelled from a Crown casino after being found in possession of a bag of unknown white powder.

The shady bag is said to have fallen from the North Melbourne legend’s pocket onto the gaming table at Crown’s Perth Promenade Hotel on Thursday night, leading to a two-year suspension from the company’s properties.

As an alert rang and on-site security removed Carey from the casino, onlookers watched.

Carey travelled to Perth to cover the Western Bulldogs vs. Fremantle game on Saturday.

A patron was taken off the premises, and the issue was handled in accordance with our regular processes, according to a Crown spokeswoman who verified the incident to The West Australia.

At Crown Perth, maintaining the safety of our visitors, staff, and the general public is still our first priority. As trained experts, our personnel are trusted to always maintain a welcoming and safe workplace for both customers and staff, and they will take the necessary steps to guarantee that these standards are followed.

The AFL champion will not be permitted to attend the Brownlow Medal, which is sanctioned by the AFL, because the two-year prohibition applies to all Crown venues.
