Video Shows Costa Titch As He Collapsing On Stage

Recently, video footage emerged showing South African rapper Costa Titch collapsing on stage during his performance at the Ultra Music Festival at the Nasrec Expo Centre.

The footage on social media shows Tsobanoglou stumbling and falling to the ground during his set before being helped to his feet.

He continued to perform and finished his track a few seconds later before falling for a second time. Sadly, Tsobanoglou died at the age of 28 after collapsing while performing in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Tsobanoglou was a growing sensation in South Africa and one of the biggest stars of amapiano, a style of music characterized by deep house, log-drum-driven basslines, and soulful piano melodies.

His rap style combined South Africa’s culture, style, and indigenous languages with international rap sub-genres like trap music.

He was born in Nelspruit in northeastern South Africa and had already had a successful career in dance before becoming a rapper.

His song “Big Flexa” made him a star across Africa after it became successful on TikTok. The rapper had recently partnered with a music label started by Senegalese-American musician Akon, who was featured on a remix of “Big Flexa.”

The festival where he was performing, Ultra South Africa, said it was “devastated” by the young rapper’s death. Tsobanoglou’s death comes just a month after his friend and collaborator, fellow rapper AKA, was killed in a shooting. Tributes have been paid to the late rapper, with many expressing their condolences on social media.

The musician’s family announced his passing on his Instagram account, but the statement did not mention a cause of death. Tsobanoglou’s legacy in the music industry will undoubtedly continue to inspire and influence generations to come.
