Richards Bay captain Siphamandla Mtolo dies after collapsing in training

Reports suggest that Siphamandla ‘Spepe’ Mtolo, a midfielder for Richards Bay Football Club, collapsed during training on Tuesday morning. This occurred just days after the team played against Kaizer Chiefs last weekend.

Richards Bay FC released a statement regarding the unfortunate event, stating that Mtolo had passed away. The club has not provided any further details regarding the cause of death and is asking for privacy for the family during this difficult time.

Mtolo was an important player for Richards Bay FC, and although he had missed much of the season due to an injury, he had led the side to claim the Motsepe Foundation Championship and earn promotion into the PSL.
